FAQ

Explore the frequently asked questions below to learn more about our lactose free milk and its many benefits.

What is lactose?

Lactose is a natural sugar found only in milk. It's composed of two simple sugars, glucose and galactose, and the human body requires the enzyme lactase to digest it.

What is lactose intolerance?

Lactose intolerance is a common condition that varies in severity. It occurs when your body has difficulty digesting lactose due to not producing enough lactase. This may lead to digestive discomfort such as bloating, gas, and diarrhoea.

What is different and beneficial about Lactose Free Milk compared to regular cow's milk?

Lactose free milk is real cow's milk and provides the same nutrition as regular milk. The only difference is that with the addition of the lactase enzyme, the lactose has already been broken down into simple sugars, making it easier to digest*. With lactose free milk, you won't need to plan when to drink milk. Now you can enjoy milk anytime, anywhere.

Who is this milk suitable for?

Lactose-free milk is suitable for everyone, especially for those who are sensitive to lactose.

Lactose-free milk seems to taste sweeter; is there any sugar added to the milk?

Lactose-free milk naturally tastes slightly sweeter because the lactose is broken down by the enzyme lactase, just like your body does, its sweeter components-Glucose and Galactose. No additional sugar is added.

I usually warm up my milk for consumption, can I drink lactose-free milk hot?

Yes, you can enjoy lactose-free milk hot, just like regular milk.

Is lactose-free milk a good choice for cooking and baking?

Yes, lactose-free milk can be used in cooking and baking just like regular milk. It will not affect the taste or texture of your favourite recipes.

How should I store lactose-free milk?

For UHT Milk (Lactose-Free):

Store unopened UHT lactose-free milk in a cool, dry place, such as your pantry or a cupboard. Once opened, store it in the refrigerator and consume within its usage instruction on pack.

For Fresh Milk (Lactose-Free):

Fresh/ESL lactose-free milk should be refrigerated immediately, both before and after opening. Store in refrigerator between 1 and 5 degree Celsius and consume within its usage instruction on pack.

*As part of a healthy and varied diet, consuming Pauls Easy to Digest* Lactose Free Full Cream Milk instead of regular milk helps ease digestion in those who are sensitive to lactose.
